Your analytics are only as useful as how you use them. Put your data to work by proactively alerting when your team when certain performance benchmarks and KPIs are met.

Processing & Fraud Management:

  • Decline Rate by Merchant/ Gateway > 20% | Last 30 Days -- This will alert the team when the decline rate exceeds 20% in the last 30 days for any single merchant or gateway.
  • Gateway AVS Code = "N - No address or ZIP match only" > 3 attempted charges in Last 7 Days -- This will alert the team anytime that there is more than 3 attempted charges in 7 days, with an AVS code historically associated with fraudulent traffic.
  • Gateway/ Processor Response Code = Hard Decline Reason (such as credit card stolen) > 1 declines in Last 7 Days -- This will alert the team anytime there is more than 1 decline in the last 7 days associated with a response code that you no longer want to reattempt.
  • Refunds by Customer >2 | Last 24 Months  -- This will alert the team anytime that a single customer has more than two refunds in a 2-year period.
  • Chargebacks by Customer  >1 | Last 24 Months -- This will alert the team anytime that a single customer has more than one chargeback in a 2-year period.
  • Processor Response = the Credit Card has Expired > $10k Declined Revenue | Last 30 Days -- This will alert the team if there are many declined charge attempts that could be mitigated through the use of an Account Updater tool or customer outreach.

 

Subscription Management:

  • Cancellation Rate for "Not Happy with Product" > 10% | Last 30 Days -- This will alert the team when the cancellation rate for unhappy customers exceeds 10% for the past 30 days.
  • Skip Rate > 10% | Last 30 Days -- This will alert the team when skip rate exceed 10% for the last 30 days.
  • Churn Rate > 20% | Last 30 Days -- This will alert the team when churn rates have exceeded your desired threshold.

 

Marketing & New User Acquisition:

  • First Renewal Retention Rate by Discount Code or Acquisition Source <80% | Last 30 Days with more than 10 subscriptions -- This will alert the team when first renewal retention rate is lower than 80% for any individual promo code or acquisition source that has driven more than 10 subscriptions.
  • Conversion Rate by UTM_Campaign < 3% | Last 30 Days with more than 500 clicks  -- This will alert the team if any marketing campaigns, driving significant volume, are dropping below a 2% conversion rate.

 

Shipping:

  • Days in Transit > 5 by Ship State | Last 7 Days -- This will alert the team when shipment slows to 5+ days in any particular state.
  • Tracking Status = Delivery Issue > 5 | Last 30 days  -- This will alert the team if there are more than 5 shipments in a 'Delivery Issue' status for the last 30 days.

 

Celebrations:

  • Daily/Monthly Sales exceeded Goal -- This will alert the team when sales goals are achieved.
  • Daily/ Monthly New Customer Count exceeded Goal -- This will alert the team when new user acquisition goals are exceeded.

 

Connection Errors (if leveraging Sublytics Billing):

  • Shipment Status = Errors > 1 | Last 1 Day on Shipment Report -- This will alert the team if there are issues sending the shipment information to your fulfillment center.
  • Decline Rate > 90% by Merchant on Processing Report | Last 1 Day on Processing Report -- This will alert the team if there are issues with your merchant processing setup.
  • Fulfilled Rate < 90% | Last 1 Day on Shipment Report -- This will alert the team if there are issues with your fulfillment connection setup.
