Disputes by Charge Date

This report will show Chargeback & Alert data, tied back to the date of the original sale.

Uses:

se this report when investigating if disputes are on the rise, or if a specific source or merchant disputes are increasing. Since this ties the CB or Alert back to the date of the original charge, fluctuation in transactions will not affect the ratios.

  • Are by chargebacks increasing? 
  • Is there a specific source causing an increase in disputes?
  • See what Card Types or Issuing Banks have higher ratios.
  • How many Alerts turn into Chargebacks?
  • How many Refunds turn into Chargebacks?

Date Operator: Charge Date

The date in which the original sale was processed. The data is reflective of all adjustments processed for that sale through today’s date. For Recurring Offers, each Cycle has a unique Sale Date

This report does not go off the date the dispute happened. To see data based on when the dispute happened, use the Disputes by Dispute Date report

The third party data connection provides Chargeback and Alert data.

Metric Definition Calculation
Charges The total count of successful charges, based upon transaction ID.  
Processed Revenue The total revenue amount processed from all charges including tax and shipping
Disputes The total count of disputed charges. Chargebacks + Alerts
Dispute Revenue The total revenue amount lost from disputes including tax and shipping
Dispute Charge Rate The percentage of disputes to charges. Disputes / Charges
Dispute Revenue Rate The percentage of dispute revenue to total revenue Dispute Revenue / Processed Revenue
Dispute Fees The fees associated with disputes.  
Chargebacks The total count of charges that were charged back.  
Chargeback Revenue The total revenue lost from charges that were charged back. including tax and shipping

Refund to Chargeback The total count of chargeback that also had a refund.
