Discount codes can be applied to an offer on an order. Customers can use Discount Codes to apply a discount at check-out. Discount Codes can be Recurring or One Time. Discount Codes can be set up as a Flat Rate discount or a Percentage discount.
A discount code can be tied to a single Offer, multiple Offers or can be Global.

How to Add a Discount Code
- In the Home Menu hover over Store Setup
- Click Promotions, select Discount Codes then + Add New or click on the Discount Code you would like to edit
- Enter your Discount Code details

Define the Discount Type:

Discount Cycle Type | Should this discount be used only on the initial purchase (one time) or on a recurring basis (all renewal cycles) |
Discount Application Type |
Offer Level - only applied on specific offers or Cart Level - applied to entire Cart See more here. |
Offer Restrictions | If Discount Type is Offer Level - add the offers this code should be applied to |
Shipping Only | This discount code only applies to the shipping cost. See more here. |
Category* | Group unique discount codes by category for easy reporting. See more here. |
Discount Code* | External code the customer will apply at checkout |
Discount Description | Internal description of how the code should be used |
Active | If checked, this discount code can be used |
Discount Expiration | Date in which the discount code will become invalid |
One per Customer | Only allow a customer to use this discount code one time. Once the customer has used, if they attempt to reorder with the same discount code it will be invalid |
Usage Limit | Limit the number of times a discount code can be used in total. Once this limit is hit, the discount code will become invalid |

Once configured, hit Submit, next set the Discount Rate
Discount Cycle Type
What kind of discount should this code use, Percent or Flat Rate?
- Percent: Take a % off the subtotal or shipping
- Flat Rate: Take a flat dollar amount off the subtotal or shipping
Discount - Set the percent or flat rate discount to be applied to the subtotal or shipping
Discount Code Application Types
Offer Level
An Offer Level Discount will apply the discount code to any of the offers in the selected list only
Cart Level
A Cart Level Discount will apply the discount code to the entire cart.
Free Shipping Discount
Discounts can be applied to the base price or to shipping. When Shipping Only is checked, the discount code will only be applied to shipping.
Cart Level Shipping Discount - This will apply discounted shipping to the selected Shipping Profile within the cart.
Offer Level Shipping Discount - This will apply discounted shipping to the selected offers that have a Shipping Price configured within the offer.
Things to note:
- If a checkout has Shipping costs from a Shipping Profile AND Offer Level Shipping, the Shipping Discount Code will apply to the Application Type (Offer or Cart).
- Shipping Profiles are associated with Cart Shipping Costs
- Offer Shipping Price is configured on the Offer and is associated with Offer Level Discount Code
- Shipping discount will be applied to EITHER the Shipping Profile OR the Offer Shipping.
Things to note:
- If a checkout has Shipping costs from a Shipping Profile AND Offer Level Shipping, the Shipping Discount Code will apply to the Application Type (Offer or Cart).
- Shipping Profiles are associated with Cart Shipping Costs
- Offer Shipping Price is configured on the Offer and is associated with Offer Level Discount Code
- Shipping discount will be applied to EITHER the Shipping Profile OR the Offer Shipping.

Upsells Allowed
- If the Discount Code is Global, define if the discount can be applied to Upsells as well. If checked, Upsells will have a discount applied. If left unchecked, discounts applied on Upsells will not apply.
Related Discount Codes
- This allows a discount code to be tied to another discount code
- At checkout, if a Discount Code is used that has a Related Discount Code, once the second offer is selected a notification will pop up with codes that are available
- For Example: Code 10OFF has a Related Code of 10PERCENT. Offer A uses 10OFF, Offer B then is prompted that they can use 10PERCENT.
- This can be used for an added promotion to prompt an upsell.
Discount Categories
Discount Categories are used to group unique Discount Codes within reporting. This allows for clean reporting based on the different groupings.
How to Add a Discount Categories
- In the Home Menu hover over Customization
- Click Categories, select Discount Categories then + Add New or click on the Discount Category you would like to edit
- Enter your Discount Category Name
