Offers

Once an Item is created, a One-Time Offer is automatically made for that Item.

An Offer is the rulesets used to determine how to sell any given item. Charge frequency and charge amount live within an Offer, along with additional detailed rules.

Define your Offer

The Offer will determine when and how a customer is charged and Items are shipped. There are 2 different Offer Types: One Time Sale or Recurring. There are also different setting if multiple shipments should be sent based on Prepaid offers.

Setup Options

Quick Setup
Quick Setup used when charging the customer the same amount and ship at the same time for every renewal cycle. Quick Setup will streamline this Offer Setup
An example where Advanced Setup is needed would be running an introductory price of $30 for the first months subscriptions, then every month after is $59.99. The initial charge would have a different price than the subsequent renewals. This is easily achieved through customized renewal cycles.
Advanced Setup
Advanced Setup is used for more unique Offer structures. This is where custom billing, custom shipping time-frames and cut-offs will be setup.

Quick Setup

 Define your Offer Type

One Time Sale and Recurring are the two different Offer types. These can be run as standard or Prepaid. If using the Quick Setup feature, below are the steps to setup each type of Offer.

One Time Sale Recurring Non-Recurring Prepaid Recurring Prepaid
One Time Sale will charge a customer one time, no additional charges or shipments are scheduled.
Price
The base price to be charged once.
Multiple Shipments
This will be left unchecked for a One-Time Sale. This setup is used for Prepaids or Offers with multiple shipments.
Fulfillment Delay
The number of hours to delay sending the shipment to fulfillment after a successful charge.
Offer Preview
Once settings are input, the offer preview will show the charge and shipment dates to ensure proper setup.
Charge Date allows to simulate different order date examples for more complex Offer setups.

Shipping Price

The shipping price to be charged for this offer, in addition to the shipping profile set on the campaign. If a Shipping Price is set across multiple offers, when a customer is checking out that shipping price will be applied per offer. To apply an overall shipping price to multiple offers, use Shipping Profiles. Shipping Profiles are set on the Campaign level. For example, if no Shipping Price is set on the Offer and the Shipping Profile set on the Campaign is $5 Shipping it would look like:

Customer 456 checked out with Offer A only - shipping is $5

Syncing Items and Offers

When editing your Items and Offers, it is always best practice to do so within Sublytics. If you do add a new product to Shopify directly, it will sync with Sublytics as soon as a transaction on that product occurs.

Sublytics will also sync automatically when the following events occur within Sublytics.

Note: This will occur only if the item is correctly linked to a shop connection and that connection is linked to a VRIO billing connection:

  • Item / item variation edit

  • Offer add (when using the wizard)

    • Note: You will still need to go to the Item and add the offer to the store

  • Offer cycle add/edit

  • Offer delete

If neither of these options work for you, manually sync products from Sublytics to Shopify by clicking into the Item you would like to Sync, navigate to the Sync tab and push "Sync All." Clicking into the synced connection allows you to click directly to the Item within Shopify for validation as well.

More details on syncing here.

  Business Use Case

A business has a single Item that can be shipped and billed multiple ways. It can be a one time shipment or a monthly subscription. That Item can also be offered as a 6 month prepaid. Once the Item is created, the user can then setup 3 offers:

  • One Time Sale (Automatically generated with Item Creation)
  • Monthly Recurring
  • Month Prepaid

  Validation Tips

  • Use exports to check that you have all items mapped to campaigns and offers
